MacWorld...Results

Yes, today was the highly anticipated MacWorld Keynote address. This is the day when Steve Jobs announces, all the new Apple products. Heres a rundown of the new stuff.

That is the Time Capsule. It's a device that will work along with Time Machine on OSX Leopard that allows you to back up all of you're Macs wirelessly.
Basically it's an AirPort Base Station, and a network drive built into one device.
They will come in 2 modells. A 500GB for $299 and 1TB for $499. (Kinda expensive, don't ya think?

The iPhone got a new software update. It has improved maps, web apps, web clips, and a few other things. But you'll have to pay, $20 to be exact.

There's also movie rentals on iTunes starting at $2.99. They plan to have over 1000 movies avalible for rental by Feb.

Apple TV update- Now you don't need a computer. You can buy/rent movies, music subscribe to podcasts etc. from the Apple TV. Free update to apple tv owners. It's now $229.

And the big one....
Actually it's the little one. The new MacBook Air, the "Thinnest Notebook in the World"
It sports an 1.2 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 80 gig hard drive, built in iSight camera, and more in an 0.76 inch thick (at the thickest point) 3 pound package.

But here comes the wammy, the price tag. The MacBook Air STARTS at $1799!

New Mac Pro Released, Leaves Apple Rumors Camp Scratching Head

Apple just announced a new Mac Pro model. The only real difference from the old model is the processor speed. It now boasts an "Intel Xenon Quad Core processor with speeds up to 3.2 GHz."

As you may know, one of the bigger MacWorld rumors, was the release of a new Mac Pro. Well, with the new Mac Pro released about a week before Mac World, it leads people to wonder "What's going to be released at MacWorld?"

Well, I strongly believe, that the iPhone will get updated or changed in some way. Preferably, better battery life and a 3G speeds.
I also believe that there will be the release of an UMPC (ultra mobile personal computer).

We'll see who's right next week.

LG's Dick Tracy Watchphone

CES 2008 - It's true! LG's new watchphone. Fulfill your childhood fantasy of being a secret agent, or if you can remember far back enough Dick Tracy. It's no iPhone or N95... but LG did a really nice job with this phone.

Sony Ericson Announces New Phones

The new GSM phones (sorry verizon and sprint), were just announced today at CES.

The W760 is the first Walkman phone with GPS built-in. It comes with "Wayfinder Navigator and Google Maps applications" which can be used for navigation.

Then we have the W350. To me, this phone is reminicent of an old Airtouch phone my uncle had. However that old airtouch phone didn't have TWO keypads, one on the front and another on the back. Sony is putting all it's space to good use.
